The assertions here are ridiculous. Especially that there is no evidence. You don't have to agree with the cosmological argument or believe that evidence for Jesus' resurrection is good, but to claim it doesn't exist is silly.

How in the hell did the brain "evolve" religion. God uses atheist to make up the most absurd BS to prove he exist.

dumb argument, shoots itself in the foot, everything you said is being done with your brain and received by other brains (into the stream of consciousness), the real question is : WHY is the brain hardwired to believe in the almighty and have certain designed neuro pathways that correlate with those experiences……i think the answer is obvious but very few can't let their ego go 🙂

Religion is a belief system or persistent thought form that originates in the collective mind. Such thought forms take possession of a person depending on early influences and indoctrination, they are not personal and one cannot control their thoughts.

The brain does create religion. It creates it out of a deep-rooted spiritual experience that we can't quite fully understand thanks to the illusion of the material world that surrounds us and the limits of the human understanding. The brain is not wrong, however, in its method of processing; it is, in fact, along the right lines.

What a quack… At about 1:15, he said that "no one has any evidence of the stories behind the religions…" This quack's problem is that he seems to be a logical positivist. Logical Positivism is the branch of rationalism that posits: "Only statements that can be empirically verified have any meaning" (“Language, Truth, & Logic,” 1936, A.J. Ayer). It is an irrational thought process though; because the statement itself cannot be empirically verified, it is self-defeating, therefore anyone who subscribes to the idea that evidence/proofs must be falsifiable actually subscribe to an unfalsifiable philosophy. While science is a good tool for certain things, it is utterly impotent and demonstrating historical events. For instance, there is no way to use strict empiricism to demonstrate that George Washington was the first president of the United States, but does that mean that it didn't happen, or that there is no way to learn of it; there are in fact other perfectly valid methods of investigation other than science.

We know that the Bible is true because it is a reliable collection of historical documents, breathed out by the Holy Spirit, and written down by eye witnesses and scholars who interviewed eye witnesses during the lifetime of other eye witnesses who could have easily disproved their claims should they have been false. They report supernatural events that took place in fulfillment of specific prophecies (whose fulfillments can be researched in history), and claimed that their writings are divine rather than human in origin. Those writings were proven true at that time by the performing of many signs and miracles in the presence of many witnesses which served as confirmation that what these men spoke came from God. These writings were then faithfully passed down through succeeding generations whose accuracy of transmission is well demonstrated in existing manuscripts through the science of textual criticism (2 Peter 1:16-21).

He says, Religion is a "secretion" of the BRAIN…well All we need to find out is the molecular & atomic "origin" of the BRAIN. Whoever/ or what process created the BRAIN then also created the BRAIN'S ability to create RELIGION. SO who / what created & programmed the human BRAIN???

Im asking a question to everyone not starting an argument. if God created us this would mean he created our brain wouldn't it. so are brain would then of course push us to him? and using since to disprove that is impossible in this instance? if he created free will wouldn't he create an option to believe yes or no? and being "all knowing" would create a scientific answer to appease the other party in the equation? im not looking to fight im trying to find my own answer in my own way.

What created the brain? The brain is prima facie evidence of intelligent design, simply because the brain is intelligent design. in the beginning was nothing… Then nothing exploded! Oooook🙄

Religion is a scapegoat, the true culprit is the over inflated ego. The "I" vs "us" mentality. It's that same that makes us believe one race, political party, gender etc. Is "better " than or " less" than.

Its interesting how all the people who say such colorful stuff like "I don't care if you're transgender, JUST DONT FORCE IT DOWN MY THROAT OR EXPECT ME TO CHANGE MY VIEW THAT YOU ARE YOUR BIOLOGICAL GENDER" also demand not just respect for their religious views, they expect to convert you.

As Far as i'm concerned reading the "not Holy" books led me to the only obvious thruth wich is the bible and other books: are written by human beings, all the stories there are fake because miracle could not exist, they talk about Moses changing a stick to a big snake, Jesus changing water to wine even resurecting the deads, others flying in the sky, impossible in a scientific vue. Unfortunately, people around the world still believing in whatever they are luying to them, the churchs, temples, and priests exploits naivety and ignorance and illiteracy for their own greed, and the poor are working to feed them. Worse is fanatism: the Pope ordering the crusader to kill for the cross, let alone arab countries the real darkness where they never teach them to use logic. And when i saw African tribes and Aboriginal Australia living in the wildness, actually they even know nothing about hell or paradise still having ceremonies dancing to venerating birds and sacred animals. Though our genetic code reveals an intelligence behind the secret of creation remains unlocked.
