Christ the Sure and Steady Anchor – Matt Boswell and Boyce College Choir

Christ the sure and steady anchor, in the fury of the storm When the winds of doubt blow through me and my sails have all been torn In the suffering, in the sorrow, when my sinking hopes are few I will hold fast to the anchor, it shall never be removed Christ the sure and steady anchor, while the tempest rages on When temptation claims the battle, and it seems the night has won Deeper still then goes the anchor, though I justly stand accused I will hold fast to the anchor, it shall never be removed Christ the sure and steady anchor, through the floods of unbelief Hopeless somehow, o my soul, now, lift your eyes to Calvary This my ballast of assurance, see his love forever proved I will hold fast to the anchor, it shall never be removed Christ the sure and steady anchor, as we face the wave of death When these trials give way to glory, as we draw our final breath We will cross that great horizon, clouds behind and life secure And the calm will be the better, for the storms that we endure Christ the shore of our salvation, ever faithful ever true We will hold fast to the anchor it shall never be removed

What a solemn and rich in Biblical truth hymn!
Hallelujah to the Great Anchor—our Lord & Savior, Jesus Christ! Praise His Name forever! Amen.

Now well… this is very inspiring and spiritual contemporary christian music. Quite a contrast with the favoured racuous CCM that has invaded traditional reformed churches.

If you can sing with talent
You are a hero in church circles
If you are humble and just a servant you are unwanted or used and abused as a no body
By this shall all men thstbtge are my disciples by your performance and talents and music.
By the way if you are unwanted or hurting God loves you and so do I.
When I was fasley charged with rape by my ex wife no talented people had a word of encouragement or help to offer…
It was only the humble nobodies who really cared

And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ. Thanks for this song. It's a part of our worship at our local church.

Very nice! I only wish the lyrics could have been shown as it was hard for me to understand all that was being sung.

I find myself asking, "This was written in the 21st century?" Just a great modern hymn. We love singing it at Holy Communion. Deeply moving because it is deeply true Holy Scripture and to the Gospel.
